Wild

Gin without the alcohol usually means juniper and not much else. Ceder's builds this one on a wider base, pairing classic gin botanicals with rare Cape botanicals from South Africa, including buchu and rooibos grown in the Cederberg mountains. Buchu has been used by indigenous South Africans for thousands of years, and it brings a resinous, minty herbal edge you will not find in a London Dry. Wild is the spicier expression in the range. Juniper and ginger lead, clove adds heat, and rooibos gives the finish an earthy, tea-like floor under everything else. The house style is clean, crisp and herbal, distilled rather than simply flavoured, with no sugar and no calories. The serve Ceder's recommends is a Wild and Tonic, roughly one part spirit to three parts premium tonic, garnished with a slice of grapefruit and a sprig of basil. It comes in a 50cl bottle.
