Sparkler

Bubbles are what most people miss first when they stop drinking, and this is the gap this bottle fills. Sparkler is Einig Zenzen's alcohol free sparkling wine, built on a cuvée of selected white grapes rather than a single variety, then dealcoholized and reduced in calories. The profile is light and lemony, fruity without sliding into soda territory, finishing clean and medium dry rather than sweet. That medium dry balance matters at a table, since it can sit next to food instead of only working as a toast. The winery behind it is in Valwig, near Cochem on the Mosel, and has been in the same family since 1636, running modern bottling lines and an in house laboratory that checks every batch. Serve it very cold in a flute, or use it as the base of an alcohol free spritz.
