Every gin and tonic argument comes down to ratio, so Siegfried settled the alcohol-free version by canning one. This is Wonderleaf premixed with tonic water at the proportion the distillery recommends, in a 250ml can, made in Germany and sold singly or by the tray of twelve. The botanical set is the same one in the bottle, juniper, linden blossom and allspice, so it drinks fresh, dry and more complex than the ready-to-drink shelf usually manages. The finished serve is completely alcohol-free. Where it earns its place is anywhere a bottle and a mixer are impractical. Trains, beaches, someone else's barbecue, a fridge you want stocked with no effort. Get it properly cold first, and pour it over ice with a lemon or grapefruit twist if you have one nearby.
