The original Ghia aperitif, spritzed and put into a can. The brand describes it as Ghia, soda, a sprig of rosemary and a twist of yuzu, and that is exactly how it drinks. Earthy and citrusy with a bitter spine from gentian root, bright enough to hold up in the sun. The ingredient list runs long and reads like food. White grape juice concentrate, yuzu, lemon balm, gentian root, date and plum concentrate, elderflower, rhubarb root, ginger, orange and rosemary. There is no added sugar, no caffeine and nothing artificial in it, and it is gluten free and vegan. Cans are 8.4 ounces. Melanie Masarin built the brand out of the Mediterranean aperitivo habit she grew up with, and this is the flagship. Drink it very cold, from the can or over ice with a lemon twist.
