Ginger is the whole argument for a non-alcoholic mule. Vodka contributes almost nothing to the flavour of the original, so taking it out costs you less here than in most cocktails, and Beckett's leans on that. The can is built from ginger extract, distilled botanicals and natural flavours, and the spice actually bites instead of reading like sweetened ginger ale with a squeeze of lime over it. Beckett's is a California company running two lines, these 12 ounce Tonics cans and a separate '27 range of non-alcoholic spirits and liqueurs. Flying Mule was commended at the 2025 World Alcohol Free Awards. At 35 calories a can it's light enough to have a second one. Drink it cold from the can if you're outdoors, or do it properly in a copper mug packed with ice and a lime wedge, which keeps the ginger sharp and the whole thing colder for longer. It handles anything off a grill.
