Redstreak, Dabinett and Yarlington Mill are proper bittersweet cider apples, the sort West Country makers use for real cider rather than the dessert fruit behind most supermarket bottles. That choice is why this drinks medium-dry with actual tannin instead of sweet apple juice with bubbles. It runs 0.5% ABV in 330ml cans, sold by the dozen. Professor David Nutt and his team designed it around the same botanical blend Sentia uses across its range, magnolia bark, passionflower, ashwagandha root and liquorice root, which the brand says supports the brain's natural relaxation pathways. It is vegan, gluten free and caffeine free at roughly 27 calories per 100ml. Because of the botanicals it carries a recommended limit of two cans a day, plus liquorice cautions for anyone with high blood pressure and a clear no during pregnancy, breastfeeding or prescription medication. Over 18s only.
