Schwechater is an Austrian beer brand brewed at the Schwechat brewery near Vienna, where Anton Dreher developed the first bottom-fermented lager in 1841. The brewery dates to 1632 and is today part of Brau Union Osterreich within the Heineken group. Schwechater is one of Austria's most popular lagers and offers Schwechater Alkoholfrei as its non-alcoholic option.
