Why does this cost money?
Data isn't cheap. For me to continue growing it and adding more brands, I literally need more money. It's not a big company. It's me, Tim Katzgrau, doing my best to help other people live healthier lifestyles.
How do you get your data?
Over the last 3 years I've built an extremely complex web scraper that crawls reviews, menus, social media, etc. Brands and distributors also provide me with their data. I accept community submissions too. The data is continuously rescraped and updated.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel your monthly or yearly subscription at any time in your account settings. Your access will continue until the end of your billing period. You can also email me at tim@katzgrau.com to cancel.
What's included in the premium features?
Premium features include unlimited locations, unlimited brands and advanced search filters. Currently in development: saving favorites, new drink notifications, and forum access.
Is the lifetime plan really lifetime?
Yes! The lifetime plan is a one-time payment that never expires. You'll continue to receive updates and new features for as long as this site exists and I’m running the show. That said, if I get abducted by aliens, win the lottery and disappear, or the site gets acquired, I can't guarantee future updates. No refunds in those cases—just a solid deal while it lasts.
Is there a refund policy?
Since the premium version of the beer finder uses expensive data fetching, refunds are not available. You can always cancel your subscription at any time.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover through the secure payment processor, Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported.
Are there any exceptions?
Yes, if you are 25 or younger, I will gift you access for free. No questions asked. Contact me here.
