A historic Japanese beer-flavoured beverage first produced in 1948 by Kokuka Beverage Company (now Hoppy Beverage Co.). Made with two-row barley malt from Germany/Canada and aromatic Hallertau hops from Germany, using bottom-fermenting Munich yeast. Traditionally mixed with shochu but enjoyed on its own as a near non-alcoholic refreshment. An iconic Tokyo drink.
