In 2023, a serious health crisis landed me in the ICU with acute pancreatitis and liver failure. When I quit drinking, I quickly discovered how difficult it was to find non-alcoholic options at restaurants and bars.
What started as a personal phone list of venues with good NA selections evolved into something much bigger. I built a searchable website, initially just a single HTML file with a zip code field, and kept improving it until it became what it is today.
When operating costs reached $1,200/month, I made a decision that surprised everyone: I sold my possessions and relocated to lower-cost countries like Vietnam and Albania to keep the platform running. This isn't just a business for me. It's a mission born from lived experience.
