Discover Bravus: Crafting Exceptional Non-Alcoholic Beer
Not all beers are created equal, and the same goes for non-alcoholic (NA) beer. Bravus Brewing Company is renowned for producing some of the finest NA beers available. To learn the secrets behind their exceptional brews, we visited Bravus' headquarters in Anaheim, CA, and sat down with the founder, Philip Brandes. Our conversation delved into Philip's inspiration for launching a non-alcoholic craft brewery in 2015, his insights into crafting high-quality NA beers, and much more.
The Pioneer of No & Low Craft Beer
Meet Philip Brandes, the visionary who kick-started Bravus in 2015, becoming North America's first non-alcoholic craft brewery. Philip's mission was simple: to create non-alcoholic craft brews that not only tasted superb but could be savored by both craft beer enthusiasts and those who enjoy the occasional social drink.
Bravus's core message has remained consistent, emphasizing inclusivity, authenticity, and the celebration of life's moments. It's about making every experience count, whether it's catching up with friends, celebrating life's milestones, or trying out a new hobby. With Bravus, any time is a good time for a quality brew.
The Brewing Location
Bravus beers are proudly brewed in the USA at their state-of-the-art facility in Anaheim, California. While they don't offer tours, you're always welcome to stop by and enjoy a cold, non-alcoholic craft beer.
The Bravus Difference
Bravus employs a unique and proprietary brewing process that replicates the flavors of alcoholic craft beers. They steer clear of methods like reverse osmosis and vacuum distillation, as these techniques can result in inferior-tasting products. Bravus's process closely mirrors traditional craft beer brewing, which is why their NA beers taste far better than other alternatives.
"Brewed to Reduce Gluten"
Although Bravus beers contain malted barley and therefore cannot be technically labeled as "gluten-free," their specialized brewing process ensures the gluten content is less than 20 parts per million (ppm). Even the most gluten-sensitive customers can enjoy these brews. This is known as "brewed to reduce gluten."
Nutritional Qualities of Bravus Beers
All Bravus beers are 100% vegan, brewed to reduce gluten (less than 20ppm), have approximately 100 calories per 12 oz can, contain no added sugar, and are entirely natural.
Is There Any Alcohol in Bravus Beers?
Bravus beers contain less than 0.5% alcohol by volume (ABV), which qualifies them as "non-alcoholic" in the United States. The alcohol content is minimal, akin to what you might find in an orange juice left out overnight or an overripe banana.
Market Expansion
Bravus Brewing Co., America's first brewery dedicated to producing premium non-alcoholic craft beer, continues to expand its presence in the market. They have formed distribution partnerships with Anheuser Busch, Miller Coors, and Craft Independent, reaching new territories such as Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Texas, and New York. With this expansion, their portfolio now spans 19 states, serving millions of non-alcoholic beer enthusiasts.
Continued Growth
Building on its success, Bravus Brewing has established lasting wholesale partnerships covering numerous states. They are continually adding new accounts regionally and nationally to meet the high demand for their premium non-alcoholic craft beers.
International Distribution
Due to the growing popularity of Bravus in the U.S., the company is exploring international markets, including Belgium, Canada, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, and the U.K.
